Almaguin OPP checks over 2,000 vehicles during Festive R.I.D.E.

Almaguin Highlands OPP has their finals numbers in from this year’s Festive RIDE program. After last week’s totals, the OPP says they checked about 2,500 vehicles during the six-week program. Twelve people were charged with highway traffic offences, while seven face drug-related charges and three for driving impaired. Although Festive RIDE is over, the OPP will still patrol the streets looking for impaired, aggressive or distracted drivers.
