Bracebridge residents form website in opposition to proposed sewage project

Residents on McCrank and Westvale Drive in Bracebridge are taking a proactive approach in opposing a proposed sewage line.
On Thursday a new website named ‘Oppose Bracebridge Sewers’ went live.
This website was created with the hopes to educated other residents on all the details released about the project so far.
There are also details on the downsides of installing a sewer line and all the costs which will be associated with the project.
With this website, representatives with the opposition will also be able to inform their fellow residents of any upcoming public meetings involving this sewer project.
The district has estimated the project will cost most homeowners just over $12,000 each.
Last Thursday the Public Works and Engineering Committee voted to postpone the project until further public input could be heard at the next meeting on January 12th at 7:00pm.
