Although it’s looking unlikely we’re getting any flooding this week, Lake of Bays is still prepared in case it does happen. Mayor Bob Young says one of the things the town learned from last year’s flood was their weak areas.

Last year’s flood damaged many roads and infrastructure in the town. But, Young says not many homes were at risk.

Young says Public Works is working with the MNR in monitoring their lakes. He says the town also keeps in close contact with other municipalities like Huntsville on flood conditions.
