Bracebridge BIA to host Moonlight Madness on July 31

Moonlight Madness is returning to downtown Bracebridge on July 31.

According to officials, the free event is a signature summer tradition that brings thousands of people downtown for an evening of shopping, entertainment, and community activities.

Lindsay Alexander, Chair of the Downtown Bracebridge BIA, said the event is a celebration of everything that makes Downtown Bracebridge unique.

“Moonlight Madness showcases the best of our downtown and the businesses that make it such a vibrant place to visit. It’s an opportunity to support local businesses, connect with neighbours, and welcome visitors to experience everything Downtown Bracebridge has to offer. We encourage everyone to come downtown, enjoy the festivities, and make a night of it.”

Officials said the Main Stage will kick off with live performances at 6:30 p.m., followed by line dancing from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors will also be able to take in a variety of street performances throughout the evening.

Additionally, officials said families can enjoy the return of the Memorial Park Kids Zone, featuring inflatable attractions and a variety of games for all ages, with admission costing $10 per person.

To allow the event to take place, officials said Manitoba Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from Taylor Road to Ontario Street beginning at 3:00 p.m. to accommodate event preparations and is expected to reopen around 1:00 a.m.

The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. For more information, click here.
