Mary Jibb, a 19-year-old swimmer from Bracebridge, won Canada’s first medal at the Commonwealth Games on July 24.
Jibb’s personal best time of 2:32:54 was good enough for a Bronze medal in the women’s 200-metre individual medley.
The Pacific Sea Wolves Swim Club, the organization she trains with, said they are “incredibly proud” of her and this outstanding achievement.
The Commonwealth Games take place from July 23 to Aug. 2 in Glasgow, Scotland.
