District hosting Construction Café for Baysville Main Street project

The District of Muskoka is inviting residents to learn more about the ongoing Muskoka Road 117 redevelopment project in Baysville at an upcoming Construction Café.

The drop-in event will take place on June 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Baysville Library.

Community members are welcome to attend at any time during the session to speak directly with members of the project team, ask questions, share feedback, and receive updates on the work underway.

The District of Muskoka, in partnership with the Township of Lake of Bays, is leading the first-ever Muskoka Main Streets project. Construction began in October 2025 and focuses on redeveloping a 780-metre section of Muskoka Road 117 through the community of Baysville.

According to officials, the project will upgrade the existing road surface, improve traffic flow, and enhance safety measures, with features including a modern roundabout, pedestrian crossings, a new multi-use trail, and additional sidewalk infrastructure.

Officials said the project is designed to strengthen the community, support local economic growth, and create safer and more welcoming public spaces.
