District of Muskoka opens applications for community grants

Applications are now open for the District of Muskoka’s 2026 Muskoka Community Grant Program, which provides funding to support local projects aimed at strengthening communities across the region.

The program supports initiatives led by community members, grassroots groups, non-profit organizations, and registered charities that are working to make a positive impact in Muskoka.

Two community grant opportunities are available this year.

The Pay It Forward grant program, launched in 2012, offers funding of up to $2,500. It is open to individual community members and grassroots groups and supports projects that bring people together, address local needs, and create positive community change.

The Community Enhancement Fund, introduced in 2020, provides grants of up to $10,000. This stream is available to non-profit community organizations and registered charities, and supports projects focused on poverty reduction, food security, housing, education and training opportunities, volunteer and job development, and community engagement.

The deadline to apply is March 13. Applications can be submitted on engagemuskoka.ca.
