Huntsville Public School Grade eight students to host a Bottle Drive Fundraiser on Jan. 10

Huntsville Public School Grade 8 students will be hosting a Bottle Drive Fundraiser on Jan. 10 at the school from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“It’s for the Grade 8 trip and also for funds for new stuff for our school,” said Marie Clare Alexander, a grade eight student.

According to Alexander, Grade 8 students at the school fundraise for a class trip every year.

This year, they are planning on travelling to Toronto for two nights and three days.

Alexander said they hope to surpass their $700 fundraising goal from last year.

“We’re aiming for around $800,” she said.

She invites everyone to bring bottles to the school so they can return them to the Beer Store.

“It’s open to everybody, as many people as can come,” said Alexander.
