Santa Claus is coming to Muskoka

Santa Claus parades are scheduled to take place across Muskoka over the course of November and December.

Officials said the parades draw thousands each year, making them one of the community’s biggest celebrations and a chance for local businesses, groups, and neighbours to come together, spread holiday cheer, and give back.

Here is a list of the parades happening across the region:

  • Bala:

Bala will be hosting its Santa Claus Parade on Nov. 15 at 1:00 p.m. on Highway 169. Enjoy the magic of the season with a festive parade, then head to the arena for skating and a special visit with Santa himself at the Bala Community Centre.

  • Baysville:

The Baysville Lions Santa Claus Parade is scheduled for Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. on University Street. The parade theme is “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and participants are encouraged to incorporate Halloween attire into their floats and costumes.

  • Bracebridge

The Rotary Club of Bracebridge Muskoka Lakes is hosting this year’s Bracebridge Santa Claus Parade downtown on Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is “Christmas in Bracebridge Over the Years” – celebrating traditions, fashions, music and holiday memories from decades past to today. After the parade, Santa will meet in Memorial Park, where families can gather for holiday photos.

  • Gravenhurst:

Gravenhurst will be hosting its 72nd Annual Santa Claus Parade downtown on Nov. 22, at 11 a.m.

  • Huntsville:

The 2025 Huntsville Santa Claus Parade comes to downtown Huntsville on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. The parade route travels Main and King William streets from Lorne Street to the Huntsville Place Mall.

  • Port Carling:

The Port Carling Santa Claus parade will be held on Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. The parade route begins at Ferndale Road on Highway 118 and ends at Bailey Street. The Port Carling Lions Club will host an after-party featuring refreshments and visits with Santa at the Port Carling Community Centre.
