GRAVENHURST, ON-Santa Clause is getting ready to visit Gravenhurst and our local fire department is ready to help him spread the Christmas spirit.
The Santa Clause Parade is set to march the streets on November 23rd and the local Gravenhurst Fire Department will be leading with their 4th Annual Toy Drive in support of the Salvation Army.
According to the press release, Gravenhurst Firefighter Danielle Ryan said that each child deserves a toy under their tree Christmas morning.
The Fire Department will be collecting new, unwrapped toys along the parade route and the salvation army will be distributing them closer to Christmas.
If you are not able to attend the parade, however, the Fire Department will also be accepting donations outside the Canadian Tire on 431 Talisman Dr. on Sunday, November 10th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Fire Department and the Salvation Army are asking for toys for children of all ages such as puzzles, games and books.
