Bracebridge’s Fraserburg Road continues to rank among CAA’s Worst Roads

Fraserburg Road in Bracebridge has been ranked among the Central Region’s top five worst roads for the second consecutive year.

According to CAA’s 2026 Worst Roads list, the local road is the third worst in the Central Region, moving up from fifth place last year.

The Central Region includes Bruce County, Dufferin County, Grey County, the District of Muskoka, and Simcoe County. Innisfil’s 6th Line ranked as the worst road in the region, followed by 20th Sideroad.

Hamilton’s Barton Street East was deemed the worst road in Ontario.

The list is compiled from feedback submitted by drivers, cyclists, transit users, and pedestrians through the CAA Worst Roads campaign, which highlights roads with issues such as potholes, traffic congestion, inadequate signage, and other safety concerns.

The organization said the campaign aims to highlight areas where improvements are needed to help create safer roads across Ontario.
