Community supporting family of Bracebridge man killed in May 21 collision

The community is rallying around the family of 23-year-old Cody Nelson who died on May 21 after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle on Eccelstone Drive.

He leaves behind his cherished family, friends, and two-and-a-half-year-old son.

Nelson had worked at Sobeys Gravenhurst for more than two years. In response, Sobeys Gravenhurst is collecting monetary donations at all checkouts throughout the week until Sunday (May 31). The store says all proceeds, along with a separate contribution from Sobeys Gravenhurst, will go directly to Nelson’s son and family to help support future care, education, and overall well-being.

Nelson’s family has also launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses and ongoing support for his son.

The GoFundMe page can be found here.
