The Gravenhurst waterfront will come alive with music this summer as the Music on the Barge concert series returns.
The series opens on June 28 and will run every Sunday night through September 6 at Gull Lake Rotary Park.
The opening performers will be The Gravenhurst Bifocals Concert Band, a group of local musicians that play a range of genres from classical and jazz to pop and rock. Featured shows throughout July will include various tribute acts, including Taylor’s Story, CopyCash, New Rodeo, and Symply Skynyrd, first place winner of the Battle for the Barge competition.
The lineup continues through August with My Life, Get Yachty, Sandra Good Band with Todd and Robyn, Trilogy Classics Live, and Steve Rae and The Pony Man Band presenting “Lightfoot…The Legend Lives On.” The season wraps up in September with Mountain Music and Chicken Fried.
“We are excited to present another entertaining season for residents, weekenders, and visitors,” said Mayor Heidi Lorenz. “Once again, Gull Lake Rotary Park will be the spot to catch terrific bands on Sunday nights.”
Concerts in June and July will begin at 7:30 p.m. and at 7 p.m. in August and September. Admission is by freewill offering.
