Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Game raises more than $35,000 for Children’s Foundation

The Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Game scored big for Muskoka youth.

The charity game, which took place on February 27 at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre Arena, raised $35,325 for the Children’s Foundation of Muskoka (CFM). Organizers said the game saw an incredible turn out and immense community support.

All proceeds will go directly toward the foundation’s mission of assisting under-resourced children and youth throughout the region, providing access to basic needs, summer camp, sports and recreation programs, post-secondary education assistance, mental health supports, and other community initiatives.

The game featured a lineup of former Maple Leafs stars, led by head coach Wendel Clark and team captain Rick Vaive. Alumni players included Kris King, Mike Johnson, Nik Antropov, Nikolay Kulemin, Brad May, Al Iafrate, Todd Gill, Gary Leeman, Adam Munro, Paul Ranger, Jeremy Williams, and Dan Daoust.

The foundation credits the success of the fundraiser to the generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers, community partners, board members, Home Team Muskoka Select players, and fans who filled the arena.

The foundation said the impact of the event will be felt by children and families across Muskoka for months and years to come.
