Community comes together to support the Gray family

A GoFundMe campaign has been created to support the Gray family following the recent deaths of Paul and Anita Gray.

The Bracebridge couple was killed on Aug. 1, and their Beatrice Town Line Road home burned to the ground.

They leave behind three daughters, Kateland, Megan, and Lindsay.

Kayley Galarneau, friend of the family and organizer of the GoFundMe, said the fundraiser will help the family with funeral expenses. It will also help Megan, who was living in the family home and lost all of her possessions in the fire.

“Paul and Anita were more than just a married couple — they were the warm, steady heart of a close-knit family, and friends to so many,” writes Galarneau.

“We are coming together to support Kateland, Megan, and Lindsay in this most difficult chapter of their lives.”

According to the GoFundMe, funds raised will go directly toward funeral expenses, immediate living costs, replacing what was lost in their home, and helping the women find stability as they move forward without their parents’ guidance.

As of 1 p.m. on Aug. 13, the online fundraiser had already generated $20,267 of the $22,000 goal.
