South Muskoka Hospital Foundation to celebrate 45 years of care through Saphire Soirée

The South Muskoka Hospital Foundation (SMHF) will be hosting their Saphire Soirée on August 21 at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.

SMHF officials say the gala will honor the foundations 45th anniversary and raise funds to enhance patient care with life-saving equipment, innovative technology, and education for healthcare professionals.

Hospital officials have announced RBC as their Sapphire Presenting Sponsor for the gala.

“RBC supports causes in the community that are meaningful to our clients and employees. Healthcare in the Muskoka region is important to us all,” said Frank Berdan, RBC Vice-President, Commercial Banking. “We look forward to a wonderful evening with business and community leaders celebrating the important work of the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital and their team of healthcare professionals.”

Officials say the soirée will offer a specially curated Brew-Master five-course seated dinner paired with five craft beverages created for the event, open bar, live music and the chance for attendees to make an impact on healthcare in South Muskoka.

Guests will also be able to walk through the event’s History Wall, celebrate the hospital’s past, present and future with the Giving Tree, and share their ideas for the future through a Time Capsule.
