Snow pushing illegal on town roads in Carling

Carling residents are being reminded that pushing snow onto or across township roads is not allowed.

Public Works Superintendent Joe Ryman sent out the friendly reminder last week after noticing that snow was being pushed onto or across roads from driveways.

Ryman says moving snow onto or across the road can cause windrows which can be hazardous to traffic and it also causes the snow banks to encroach on the road itself.

The public works department that residents stop pushing snow onto or across roadways or the by-law will be enforced and charges will be laid.
