Despite a minor delay, the Bracebridge Winter Village has kicked off successfully.
The original kick off was Saturday, January 16th, however it had to be postponed due to poor ice quality.
Bracebridge Councillor Chris Wilson, who is also on the Winter Village committee, says it was worth the wait.
Wilson and Mayor Graydon Smith both had some words to share about the new skate trail during the event.
Hundreds of residents showed up in force on Saturday to skate, enjoy some hot chocolate and check out some of the booths at the Winter Village.
