Bracebridge Turtle Walk- The year of the tartan turtle

A Saturday morning event- meet the turtles! 10am to noon. Live turtles, crafts, face painting, and turtles. Learn about the biology of turtles. How they behave. What they do to help keep our lake ecosystems healthy. Learn about what is threatening them. Help our slow friends come in first. Join a turtle walk. Its free and its fun. This is the year of the tartan turtle. Dress in plaid or in turtle-y cool gear. Make and bring your own signs to show the world that you love turtles too. Prizes for the best costumes, signs and for answering skill testing questions during the walk. This event is sponsored by the Turtle Guardians program; a collaborative of 10 charities and organizations working to save Ontario’s turtles. Funds raised for the walk supports the T5 campaign to save turtles and conserve aquatic ecosystems.
