Muskoka's Fire Chiefs aim to reduce fire related deaths during the holidays

Muskoka’s fire chiefs have come together for a common goal to reduce fire related deaths during the holidays. Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Chief Steve Hernen says December is the worst month for fire related deaths in Ontario.

The 12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety is a campaign offering tips for families each day. So instead of giving your true love a partridge in a pear tree, you should probably do things like water the tree. Hernen says if the needles are falling off, the tree then needs to leave the home.
