Three-year-olds will not be pulled from Muskoka Montessori despite new childcare laws. The Child Care Modernization Act, also known as Bill 10, will clearly classify three-year-olds as daycare only, which could cause some schools in the province to pull those kids out. Principal Timo Bijl says they will continue to have three-year-olds in their programs.

Bill 10 does not outline the difference between an unlicensed home daycare and private schools that offer programming for toddlers to SK kids. Bill 10 was created to replace the Days Nurseries Act.

Bijl says his biggest worry about this new legislation is how it will give the provincial government more power over their programming.
