Residents encouraged to shop local

MUSKOKA, PARRY SOUND, ON-The MPP has encouraged residents to buy local this Christmas season.

MPP for Parry Sound-Muskoka Norm Miller said that the people of Muskoka should be buying local to support businesses and purchase gifts that are unique to the area.

Miller noted specifically that the residence of Bracebridge have a unique chance to buy from stores that specialize in various products.

Miller also said that residents should visit their local farmers, wineries and maple syrup producers to support their businesses.

When asked about how buying local makes an impact, Miller said that “when residents buy locally, they boost the economy and show support for their community.”

“The award-winning businesses demonstrate the high quality of products produced here in our backyard,” said Miller.
