Parry Sound High School students have learned about dating violence.
Grade ten students gathered in the cafeteria yesterday morning for a presentation from Dawn Novak who lost her daughter to domestic violence in 2006.
Novak explains why her and her husband travel around to eight area schools with their message.

After her presentation, students then traveled around the school in groups to speak with District Violence Coordinating Committee partners including, Parry Sound Muskoka Community Mental Health, Esprit Place, the YMCA, and the OPP.
A similar event will be happening today for students at Almaguin Highlands Secondary School.
