Life-saving efforts unsuccessful after collisions in Bracebridge 

BRACEBRIDGE, ON – One man is dead after colliding with a tree in his vehicle on Tuesday morning.

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said they responded to the incident just after 7:30 a.m. on Peterson Road.

According to officers, a nearby resident was awoken by the sound of the crash and called the police for help. The OPP said a 57-year-old Bracebridge resident was found unresponsive in the vehicle. Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.

According to police, Peterson Road in the area of Uffington Road will be closed while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators try to figure out what happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bracebridge OPP or Crime Stoppers which could lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
