99.5 The Moose Radiothon raises $67,765 for local hospital

BRACEBRIDGE, ON- A 12-hour radiothon has helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for local healthcare.

From 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Moose 99.5 held our annual Thanksgiving Hospital RadioThon for the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation.

Each year, 99.5 Moose FM reaches out to the community looking for donations.

This year, the funds will be going towards emergency healthcare equipment.

Cottage Country Cluster Manager Jenny Hodge says this is just part of Moose FM’s commitment to stay local and proud.

“We’re excited to continue supporting both Muskoka’s hospital sites with our annual radiothon,” says Hodge. “Every year, it’s amazing to see how our community partners, our clients and, most importantly, our listeners come together to get behind such a worthy cause.”

$67,765.60 was raised for the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation, with a record breaking 197 donations.

Donations, support from sponsors all helped to make it possible.

The Moose would like to thank everyone who donated and volunteered to help raise money throughout the day.
