A group of Huntsville residents near the location of the new men’s shelter are speaking out. On Monday, Don Brandle brought a petition before council with almost 40 signatures. He says the residents are not against having a men’s shelter in Huntsville….

Brandle says he is working on a deputation to present before the new council at the next regular meeting with possibly more signatures. The men’s shelter is associated with The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation. It’s located at 9 Hanes Street next to the Food Bank. The Table’s CEO Heather Berg says they will not being giving any comment at this time.
