Grade ten students get presentation about dating violence

The District Violence Coordinating Committee will be presenting at Almaguin Highlands Secondary School. For the sixth straight year, the DVCC will speak to grade ten students on Friday, about dating violence including what the signs are of an unhealthy relationship, what is abuse, and where to go for help. This was initiated by Dawn and Ed Novak, whose daughter Natalie, was murdered by a former boyfriend. Dawn Novak will be the keynote speaker. There will also be educational films, mini workshops and presentations by DVCC agencies, such as Esprit, the OPP, VCARS, and more.. The DVCC are also presenting at Parry Sound High School on Thursday.
