Police seek pickup in Gravenhurst hit and run crash

GRAVENHURST, ON – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police is seeking the public’s assistance in a hit and run incident.

Police received a call yesterday morning at 10:00am that a person’s vehicle had been hit on Bay Street at Greavette in Gravenhurst.

The victim had been travelling west on Bay street through the S bend and was about to continue down toward the Muskoka Wharf area when a vehicle that had been stopped on Bay Street, waiting to turn north onto Greavette Street, advanced before the victim had completed the turn and caused a collision.

The vehicle that was hit had moderate damage, and the suspect vehicle took off, heading east along Brown Street.

Police are looking for a newer model dark grey or black Dodge 1500 series pickup. It featured tinted windows and a hard tonneau cover. It would likely have front end damage as well.
