MAGNETAWAN, ON- Boaters looking to pass through Magnetawan are out of luck for the rest of the year.
According to a notice from the town, the locks in Magnetawan have been closed up for the season. They thanked their operating staff and boaters who passed through for a safe and fun summer in the same announcement.
Earlier in the season, the locks had been briefly shuttered due to mechanical issues, but got back up and running in short order. They should re-open next year.
