Disqualified driver faces drug charges in Armour Township stop

ARMOUR TOWNSHIP, ON – A disqualified driver stopped by police in Armour Township now faces numerous charges.

Around 11:00pm last night, Almaguin Highlands OPP stopped a car for speeding in Armour Township. A license check revealed the driver was suspended in Ontario. As police investigated further, five kilograms of marijuana was discovered.

Michael David Cody Nopper, 29, of Woodbridge, Ontario faces trafficking, speeding and driving while suspended charges. His vehicle is now impounded for seven days.

Nopper is scheduled to appear at the Parry Sound Ontario Court of Justice today.
