Local schools help Salvation Army sort food in time for Christmas
Students are coming together to help the Salvation Army. St. Mary’s Catholic Public School helped sort food at the church yesterday. Greg is in Grade 8 and says he helped sort the food on Wednesday night after the food drive and wanted to continue helping through the school.
Mykenzie, who is also in grade 8, says she volunteered because she likes helping others.
Being able to volunteer to help an organization like The Salvation Army is important to the students. Grade 7/8 teacher Monica Park says as Catholic students part of their Christmas season is advent.
The Salvation Army will also get help from Huntsville High School, Pine Glen Public and Muskoka Montessori.
