OPP asking for witnesses after collision between 10-year-old boy and police car

GRAVENHURST, ON- If you saw a collision between a young boy and a police car on Thursday, the OPP want to hear about it.

The Bracebridge detachment has released details on the incident, which occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Muskoka Road North in Gravenhurst.

A northbound marked OPP vehicle was turning into a commercial parking lot when the collision occurred between the vehicle and a southbound cyclist travelling on the sidewalk, according to the detachment.

The 10-year-old male cyclist was transported to local hospital with minor injuries, where he was treated and released.

The investigation continues under the direction of the Central Region Traffic Management Team.

Police are asking witnesses to contact Bracebridge OPP at 705-645-2211.
