Ontario reveals members of Muskoka Watershed Advisory Group

GRAVENHURST, ON – The province has officially named the members of a new advisory group.

With nine total members, the Muskoka Watershed Advisory Group is comprised of people with various expertise in environmental protection, resource management, urban and land use
planning, municipal representatives, natural or applied sciences, and finance within Ontario.

The chair of the group is Mardi Witzel, who serves on a variety of committees at the KidsAbility Foundation, and she serves on the New Property Development Committee and the Nominating Committee at the Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club.

Aside from Witzel, the members are Chris Cragg of Cragg Consulting Services, Don Smith councillor for the Town of Bracebridge and District of Muskoka.

John Beaucage the chair of the First Nation Market Housing Fund, Board of Nigig Power Corp. and Mitigokaa Development Corporation.

The other members are John Miller, the President of Muskoka Steamships and Discovery Centre.

Julie Cayley a professional agrologist and the executive director of the Severn Sound Environmental Association.

As well as Kevin Trimble a senior ecologist and chair of the Muskoka Watershed Council.

Norman Yan professor emeritus at York University.

And Patricia Arney, a member of the Muskoka Watershed Council and the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce.
