PARRY SOUND, ON- The risk of forest fire has dropped in Parry Sound.
According to a notice from the West Parry Sound Fire Region, the risk of forest fire in the area from August 8th to August 15th has been dropped down to moderate, with normal burning activities allowed to resume.
Permits are still required for approved incinerators and outdoor fireplaces. The burning of natural wood and wood products for campfires is allowed.
Residents should still check with their local municipality for allowable burning activities specific to their area.
