Swimming advisory for Gull Lake Rotary Park beach lifted

GRAVENHURST, ON- Swimmers can dunk again at Gull Lake Rotary Park.

According to a notice from the Town of Gravenhurst, the swim advisory that had been put in place on July 23rd has now been lifted, effective immediately.

During a swimming advisory, the beach is posted with warning signs that the most recent water samples showed bacteria in numbers that may increase your risk of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose or throat infections or stomach illness.

Anyone swimming during an advisory should avoid dunking their head or swallowing the water.

The town and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit will monitor all municipal beaches and water quality, and will let the public know of any further concerns.
