GRAVENHURST,ON- There won’t be a fireworks show in Gravenhurst this weekend.
According to a notice from the town government, the Civic Holiday fireworks show scheduled for Saturday night at the Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst has been cancelled due to the “Extreme” fire ban rating currently in place.
If the ban is lifted and the rating downgraded from extreme before August 3rd, the show will continue.
“The Town of Gravenhurst thanks the public for their understanding and wish you an enjoyable and safe holiday weekend,” read the town’s notice.
The fire ban has stayed in place despite weekend rain in the area.
