Bracebridge man dead after Alice Street assault

BRACEBRIDGE, ON- The man sent to hospital after an assault in early July has passed away.
According to an update from the Bracebridge OPP, the man is Justin Heptinstall, a 48 year old from the community. He was taken to local hospital and then airlifted to Toronto, following an assault that occurred along Alice Street in Bracebridge on July 7th.
The investigation into the assault is ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Regional Support Team (RST) under the direction of Detective Inspector Laura Houliston of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
