Swim advisory posted for Gull Lake Rotary Park beach

GRAVENHURST, ON- Swimmers at Gull Lake Rotary Park beach shouldn’t dunk their heads.

Based on beach water samples collected by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit on Monday July 22, it has been recommended by the SMDHU that the beach be posted with swim advisory signs.

The Town will be providing modified swimming lessons at Gull Lake Beach, and will let people know if the schedule changes.

“During a swimming advisory, the beach is posted with warning signs that the most recent water samples showed bacteria in numbers that may increase your risk of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose or throat infections or stomach illness,” read the notice from the town.
