A second boil advisory added to Algonquin Park

ALGONQUIN PARK, ON – Park officials are encouraging people to bring their own water while visiting two sites.

On-top of the boil water advisory at the Mew Lake Campground, which is nearing a month since the notice was issued, park staff have issued an advisory for the Lake of Two Rivers Campground.

The campsite had an advisory on the third of July but was rescinded five days later.

These advisories are issued because the water in those areas is not safe for consumption. According to the park, if you are going to use the water than you need to be boiling it for at least one minute.

Aside from boiling, park visitors can bring their own water or get water from other parts of the park.
