Driver and company charged after metal spilled onto Highway 69

A driver and the company he works for faces charges after scrap metal spilled onto the highway. On Tuesday, West Parry Sound OPP was called to Highway 69 in Shawanaga after a commercial vehicle was losing scrap metal off its load.  Officers caught up with the vehicle and found that the load was not secured properly causing the metal to be spilled onto the highway.  The 37-year-old driver from Brampton has been charged with driving with an insecure load and drive a commercial vehicle with a major defect while the Brampton company was also charged with having an insecure load.
