HUNTSVILLE, ON – Town officials are reminding residents of the resources available in the community to keep cool during the heatwave this weekend.

The town of Hunstville made the announcement in a release Friday morning.

It said the Canada Summit Centre and Active Living Centre along with the Huntsville Public Library are air-conditioned buildings open to the public to help cool down.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Friday and Saturday.

The Simcoe Muskoka-District Health Unit recommended people stay in cool locations as much as possible during extreme heat events.
