All of Ontario’s provincial parks are free on Friday

PETERBOROUGH, ON – People are getting the chance to enjoy provincial parks for no-cost.

Ontario Parks announced that on Friday all of the provincial parks are going to be Free.

The reason for the free entrance to the parks is an annual event called Healthy Parks, Healthy People Day. Ontario Parks says that spending time in nature is good for physical and mental health, so this allows people to explore the parks and enjoy the events happening in each of them.

Anyone in cottage country hoping to go over to Algonquin Park can try out the Tom Thompson Paddle Art Workshop and contest. There is also the “citizen science bio blitz”.
