MUSKOKA LAKES, ON – Swimmers can head back to one of the township’s beaches.
The Township of Muskoka Lakes announced this afternoon that the swim advisory at Windermere Beach has been lifted.
According to the town, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit confirmed with water samples taken yesterday that the water is once again safe for swimming. Muskoka Lakes says that swimming lessons program will be back at the beach tomorrow.
The advisory was originally posted last week after water tests showed higher than acceptable bacteria levels in the water.
