Swim advisory posted for Gull Lake Rotary Park beach

GRAVENHURST, ON- A new swim advisory has been posted for Gull Lake Rotary Park.

According to Gravenhurst’s municipal government, recent water samples from the local health unit caused the advisory.

The town will be providing modified swim lessons at the beach and will be in touch with all participants if the schedule changes further.

During a swimming advisory, the beach is posted with warning signs that the most recent water samples showed bacteria in numbers that may increase swimmer’s risks of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose or throat infections or stomach illness.
