Police investigating after man suffers life threatening injuries in Bracebridge

BRACEBRIDGE, ON- A police investigation is underway after a man was severely injured in Bracebridge on Sunday.

According to an announcement from the OPP, officers from the Bracebridge detachment and paramedics responded to an address along Alice Street in town shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening.

That address has been confirmed to be an apartment building at 124 Alice Street.

They were sent to the location due to an injured man. He was subsequently taken to hospital, and airlifted to Toronto with life threatening injuries.

“The circumstances surrounding his injuries are being investigated and further details will be released when they become available,” read the announcement.

“The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Regional Support Team (RST) under the direction of Detective Inspector Laura Houliston of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.”
