BROOKS MILL, ON- A small forest fire has been reported near the Big East River today.
According to the province’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry fire map, the blaze is less than a hectare in size. It is burning on the northern tip of an island in the middle of Donut Lake.
It is not under control at this time, and is believed to have started at 3:38 p.m. today.
Another fire was reported burning in Gibson River Provincial Park yesterday, and has been brought under control as of this publication.
A request for more information has been sent to the province.
