MUSKOKA, ON- The humid, sticky weather settling over cottage country will be around until Saturday morning.
That’s according to Environment Canada, who issued an updated special weather statement this afternoon. According to the agency, a relatively hot and humid airmass has reached the area and will remain in place through Friday night.
The highest expected afternoon temperatures should sit at around 30 degrees, with humidex values in the high 30’s today and tomorrow. The humidity is expected to go up to nearly 40 degrees in some areas on Friday afternoon, with the highest average temperatures staying in the low 30’s.
Overnight minimum temperatures tonight will fall below 20 degrees but will remain near or above 20 degrees Thursday night and Friday night.
A cold front early on Saturday morning is expected to bring cooler temperatures and lower humidity for the weekend.
