Snow squall warning in effect across the district

Snow squalls and blowing snow are moving across Parry Sound-Muskoka and Almaguin as a snow squall warning is in effect. Environment Canada says multiple squalls have developed on the cold west to southwesterly flow over Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. We might see up to 20 centimetres of the white stuff this morning with another 5 to 10 centimetres expected later today. The weather agency says the squalls will stick around until tomorrow. Gusting winds and blowing snow will cause poor visibility in areas across the district. Environment Canada and the OPP are suggesting you avoid driving if you can or at the very least drive according to the road and weather conditions.
