HALIBURTON, ON – The death of one person has led to a homicide investigation just outside of downtown Haliburton.
Although the details of the investigation are still unknown, the MyHaliburtonNow.com newsroom was able to confirm that one person has died and an investigation is underway.
In an email thread sent by the Haliburton Business Improvement Association, the investigation stems from an incident early this morning. The email also said the police had a suspect in custody and there was no threat to public safety.
OPP have confirmed this information is correct.
The scene of the investigation is along Highland Street just next to the Shamrock Gas station. Access to the property’s driveway was taped off.
