Woman at centre of Rob Ford escalade case fined $1,800 and banned from driving for one year

LeeAnne McRobb has been fined $1,800 and is banned from driving for one year. She was the person found behind the wheel of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford’s black Escalade in May – her case was heard in Bracebridge court this week. McRobb told MooseFM she had met Ford while at the GreenStone Rehab facility in Bala. She was arrested on Highway 169 after she was spotted by people swerving in the NB lane while heading south. McRobb plead guilty to impaired driving. Ford admitted he had loaned her the SUV.
